We believe you should have control over your personal information.

You may request deletion of specific data without deleting your PROBr account.

If you cannot access in-app controls, email:

Include:

• Your full name
• The email linked to your PROBr account
• The subject line: “Data Deletion Request”
• Specify which data you want deleted

We may request identity verification before processing.

You may request deletion of:

• Research interest selections
• Saved studies
• Application history (where not legally required to retain)
• Chat history
• Uploaded documents
• Referral information
• Profile demographic information (age, location, ethnicity)

Certain data may need to be retained for:

• Legal and research governance compliance
• Audit requirements for completed studies
• Fraud prevention and platform security
• Financial records (if compensation was issued)
• Dispute resolution

Where retention is required:

• Data will be minimised
• Access will be restricted
• It will not be used for marketing purposes

Retention period:
Up to 6 years, where required by UK law or research compliance standards.

Verified data deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

You will receive confirmation once completed.

If you are actively participating in a study, deleting certain data within PROBr may not remove data already shared with the research sponsor. You must contact the study team directly for formal withdrawal.
