PROBr Account & Data Deletion Request

We respect your privacy and your right to control your data.

If you would like to delete your PROBr account and associated data, please follow the steps below.

1. Log into your PROBr account.
2. Go to Profile > Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm your request.

Your account deletion request will be processed automatically.

If you cannot access your account, please email:

Include:

• Your full name
• The email address associated with your PROBr account
• The subject line: “Account Deletion Request”

We may request identity verification before processing deletion.

When your deletion request is processed, the following will be permanently deleted:

• Your profile information (name, email, age, demographics)
• Health and research interest information
• Study application history
• Messages within the platform
• Uploaded documents
• Activity history
• Referral data

In certain cases, we may retain limited information for:

• Legal and regulatory compliance (e.g., clinical research audit requirements)
• Fraud prevention and platform security
• Financial record-keeping (if compensation was issued)
• Dispute resolution

This retained data will:

• Be minimized
• Be stored securely
• Not be used for marketing
• Not be visible to other users

Retention period:
Up to 6 years, where required by UK legal or research governance obligations.

• Account access will be disabled immediately upon confirmation.
• Full deletion is completed within 30 days of a verified request.

If you are currently enrolled in an active research study, deleting your PROBr account does not automatically withdraw you from the study itself.

Please contact the research team directly to formally withdraw from a study.
